This has a nice feel to it. It's on the corner of an attractive curved street near central Southampton, and in the Southampton student triangle. Serves decent cask beers, and also meat burgers for those who like that sort of thing. The triangular beer garden is the place to be. Inside has a traditional feel, but is somewhat set up like a restaurant, and there's also an unpleasant musty smell.

Good beers on offer |
Been here a good few times now. They sometimes have a beer festival. And are currently offering 24 taps of cask and keg beers. Good place for beer and food (speciality is burgers), and child friendly. Price is a tad high, but the smell issue appears to have been resolved- though carpet is never an ideral floor covering for pubs. The staff are laid back, and are beer enthusiasts. There is a secret beer garden out the back near the kitchen. This is great, as long as there are no smokers. Overall we like the place. Especially now that the Flower Factory is opposite.
