A great new venue right on the river in Woolston. We've been several times now. Food is good, the ambiance is awesome, and the view is to die for.

It's been a while since I've been to Quayside, so when Lads Who Lunch gathered together in Woolston (we had intended to try out lunch at the Woolston Social Club, but it was closed), we made our way to to bar, unsure if it would still be open because whenever we've been there, it has been low on customers. However, with the return of sunshine after weeks (months!) of rain and drizzle, the place was warm with customers. Not busy as such, but certainly not empty.
The Beavertown beers that I had enjoyed when here with Mi and Chrissie are no longer on offer, but they had a bottle of Whitstable Bay by Shepherd Neame (though it says Faversham Steam Brewery on the bottle, it is made by Sheps), and for seconds I had Cruzcampo Seville, which seemed more appropriate for the tapas that we were having (even though it's brewed to a lower abv here in the UK).
The tapas was not successful. Essentially at Quayside, currently, you either have tapas or you have pizza. We were the only ones at that point ordering food. About five to ten minutes after we'd ordered, a table inside ordered some pizzas. We were still waiting for our tapas about 30 minutes later when the pizzas arrived at the inside table. It seemed the chef had decided to make the pizzas first. I chased up our tapas, and they finally arrived 45 minutes after being ordered. To be fair they were generous potions and reasonably tasty, but the time they took, and the price was off-putting. We paid around £50 for two drinks (one soft) and four tapas.
